ELECTRICAL PROJECT MANAGER
Job Description
As Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing industrial/commercial electrical projects from start to finish. You will report to the Projects Team Leader and play a key role in estimating, scheduling, managing field personnel, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities

Manage electrical projects including manpower, materials, equipment, and timelines

Handle change orders when project scopes shift

Provide accurate labor and material estimates for new projects

Lead and support forepersons and electricians on-site
-
Approve invoices and control project costs

Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed

Read schematics and assist with troubleshooting when required

Follow up on completed jobs to ensure full customer satisfaction

Follow up on quotes to help drive sales
Qualifications
-
1–2 years of experience in project management and quoting
-
Proficient in Accubid estimating software (required)
-
Comfortable with tendering new projects and tight bid timelines
-
Strong knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code
-
Experience managing projects valued over $1M
-
Familiarity with change order management
-
Valid driver’s license
-
Excellent communication and leadership skills
-
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment

Senior Electrical Estimator
Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Electrical Estimator with expert-level proficiency in Accubid—this is non-negotiable. The ideal candidate must possess an in-depth understanding of Accubid’s full capabilities and be able to accurately and confidently estimate large-scale electrical projects ranging from $1M to $10M with precision and efficiency.
As the lead estimator, you will take full ownership of the estimating department, analyzing tender opportunities and making strategic decisions on which projects Salson Electric should pursue. You will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and profitable bids, working closely with project managers and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:

Master Accubid Software: You must be an expert in Accubid and use it with speed, efficiency, and accuracy.

Lead the Estimating Department: Take full ownership of the estimating process and guide the team in preparing detailed estimates.

Analyze Tender Lists: Identify high-value project opportunities and decide which jobs to bid on.

Prepare & Submit Estimates: Develop detailed, competitive, and profitable bids for projects ranging from $1M to $10M.

Client & Vendor Communication: Work directly with suppliers, subcontractors, and general contractors to ensure precise cost estimation.

Project Handover: Assist in transitioning successful bids into live projects, working with project managers and field teams.

Stay Updated: Keep up with industry trends, material costs, and best practices to ensure accuracy and competitiveness in all bids.
What We’re Looking For:

Accubid Mastery: This is non-negotiable – you must be an expert in Accubid and have extensive experience using it for large-scale estimates.

Electrical Estimating Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience estimating electrical projects, ideally in commercial/industrial sectors.

Project Size Experience: Proven ability to accurately estimate projects valued between $1M to $10M.

Strong Initiative & Leadership: Ability to take charge, lead the estimating department, and make strategic decisions on which projects to pursue.

Excellent Communication Skills: Comfortable liaising with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to ensure precise, profitable bidding.

Strategic Thinker: Must understand market conditions and tender trends to maximize bid-win ratios.

On-Site Requirement: This is an in-office position at our Concord, Ontario location—remote work is not an option.
